By Faith Magazine (BFM) is the exclusive communication vehicle for the 2,500 Black congregations in the United Methodist Church (UMC). Beginning September 2015 copies of BFM was mailed to every Black congregation as well as to Bishops, District Superintendents,agency and conference executives and a growing list of subscribers.
Black people have been a part of Methodism since its beginning as Harry Hosier assisted Bishop Asbury and others to grow the Methodist brand. BFM will be a reliable resource to help preserve this legacy and give exposure to the exciting and innovative ministries as well as the challenges of Black Churches today.
Use this website to explore ways BFM works to highlight the ministries of the Black United Methodist family of congregations, pastors and laity as they busy themselves every day carrying out the great commission (Matt. 28:19) making disciples for Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world”.
